Artfully Yours: A Gallery Wedding - Katie & Simon

Katie and Simon's art gallery wedding was the editorial wedding of our dreams . Photographing Katie and Simons day pushed the boundaries of traditional wedding photography. Capturing their day was all about creativity, style, and artistic expression. From the unconventional wedding location and avant-garde decor to the charcuterie boards and unexpected details, every aspect of this wedding was designed to make a statement. Katie and Simons wedding day was the true integration of love and fun. 

Katie prepared for her big day in the intimate setting of her parents home with her bridesmaid and parents. Surrounded by her closest friends and family, Katie threw on the most romantic gown with lace details and a tulle skirt, giving it a delicate and romantic feel. This intimate setting was the best way to keep wedding day nerves at bay… on the other hand, Simon had a contrasting setting for his preparations. Surrounded by his groomsmen they gave out gifts, lit cigars, and got the party started. Dressed in classic tuxedos, they brought laughter and joy with their antics. They provided a welcome contrast to the more formal atmosphere of the event, and their energetic presence was a highlight of the day. 

The wedding ceremony was a beautiful and intimate affair, despite the rain threatening to make an appearance. As Katie and Simon exchanged vows beneath the towering rock sculptures, the rain held off just long enough to allow the ceremony to take place. The ceremony site was an eye-catcher in itself, the overcast and forestry scenery, creating a romantic and cozy atmosphere. As they exchanged rings and shared their first kiss as a married couple, the rain began to gently fall, creating a magical and serene atmosphere. It was a truly memorable and wet moment and one that the couple and their guests would never forget. 

After all the affairs came to a close, it was our creativity’s time to run rampant with all of the opportunities that were before us. Did we want to take pictures at the cool shiny black thing? Or maybe the cool pointy things? The answer is all of the above! With a wide variety of artwork on display, there is no shortage of places to photograph. From colorful abstract paintings to intricate sculptures, the possibilities are endless.
